I Will Help You Have More Money!
Why the mission to help you have more money? Why am I determined to make your finances better? I have two reasons:
I Love Helping People
I am not alone in this wacky disposition. In fact, it’s part of the human condition. Helping someone else – moving them to a better place from where they started – is simply satisfying. It’s a good feeling. It’s a good reason to get out of bed in the morning. You know, that old expression about “making the world a better place?”
So, my motivation is probably self-serving. I enjoy helping people. It’s fun for me. I get pleasure from making people’s lives better. Helping others makes me feel good.
Finance is Fun
If you read the line above and rolled your eyes, you’re probably normal. Math and numbers aren’t everyone’s game. But it’s mine.
- I can happily spend hours in a spreadsheet.
- I enjoy the challenge of creating a Monte Carlo simulation in Microsoft Excel. (If only my computer were more powerful!)
- My eyes light up at the chance to review a 401(k) investment menu.
It’s simply fun to figure out how to change inputs to get a client to their goals. The challenges are mentally stimulating. (At least, that’s the case for a self-proclaimed nerd, like yours truly.)
